Another weekend is gone

Yesterday I was at school again and even my mum was there with Inger! They weren't there to learn anything but to meet me and my brothers (my sister wasn't there and neither was one of my brothers). After the lessons we played all together. It was fun, I can barely wait until I see them again next week.

On the way home we stopped in a pet shop and I got a new toy. It's like a ball but it has holes in it and my mistress hides dog sweets there. When I roll it, the sweets fall out :)

Today I visited my masters sister who has many cats, some cows and a horse. Cows were huge, I didn't like them and I never saw the horse. Cats were boring too, they just left and didn't wave their paws as Sixten does. I took a walk in the woods and played hide and seek with my master and mistress.

I love water

My mistress took a shower and I followed her. At first I tried to drink up all water on the floor but it was too much. Then I discovered fresh water coming from above and started to drink that. I got all wet but it was fun. It was even funnier when I ran further to the room because there was plenty of space for me to shake myself. My humans didn't appreciate it though for some unknown reason.

Freedom

It feels strange to stay at home and not to work at all. I have nine free days now and don't really know what to do. I've come up with a project for these days, I try to train my people to do what I want for a change. Sometimes when it's boring and I want to play I pretend I need to go out. I know my mistress wants me to pee but she can't see the difference when I only bend down and pretend that I'm peeing! Most often my humans play with me before we go in again :)

Today I visited a pet clinic with Sixten. He was afraid and didn't want to be there at all but I don't understand why. I got some dogsweets from a veterinary surgeon and she touched my neck. My humans talked about some vaccination, I wonder what that is. They had big scales there too which showed 10,5 kg when I stepped on it. My mistress also ordered a passport for me so I can go on holiday with my humans next summer, they want to travel to Estonia. It has to be written in my passport that I'm healthy before I can travel to other countries if I've understood it right.

School

Today was my first day at school with all my brothers and sister. I hadn't met them since they moved out to their new families and it was fun to see them again - especially my brother Ludde who I played and wrestled with for a long time.

The school was quite okey too but it was a bit difficult to concentrate because of all those impressions. I was praised by my teacher when I ran as fast as I could to my humans after they called my name. I know how to sit but my humans haven't taught me the commando "sit" yet, so this will be the homework. They wanted me to lay down too but I didn't feel like it - I prefer to practise it at home instead.

I got a parcel

...actually my mistress did but it was for me. My carcage finally arrived! It took a couple of hours for my mistress to construct it but she succeeded. So no more catcage :) I have already tested my new cage on the way to work and I like it - it's big and I can see what's going on outside.

My weight was 9,4 kg this morning and I've learned how to climbe the stairs so I can now go in the house all by myself. Now it's time to work.

EDIT 22:30: Well... my friends poodles are here so we played instead of working. I think it's okay that only humans work sometimes ;) I even got a new friend who's same size as me. She's called Doris and she is working tonight too. Too bad my master comes soon to take me home, I really like those dogs.

Finally!

One free day... I've been working every single day for the whole week now and last night I worked 7,5 hours! I don't complain though, I had fun. I was on call and saw three ambulances, one doctor and many people. During the rest of the evening I didn't have so much to do. My mistress had to go away every now and then, but I knew she would come back so I stayed at the nurses' office and just rested.

Today I have taken it easy. My humans bought meatballs and said something about me going to school on Saturday. I guess I'll get all those meatballs at school if I'm a good girl - I just have to pull myself together and do as they want for a while. I already tried it couple of times and came running when my mistress called my name. I was right - every time I came to her I got a bit of a meatball which tasted heavenly.

I understand three commandos ("come", "release" and "step down") already and for treats I'm glad to do what humans want. My mistress has a stuffed bag and sometimes she wants me to fetch it. I can do that, I only wonder when she comes up with the idea there is a commando for it called "fetch". Anyway... she throws this bag and when I come back with it she wants to exchange and I get dog sweets. Fine by me... as long as she has something I want to have, of course. Otherwise I take the bag and run away. Too bad she never chases me, so finally I go to her with the bag anyway.

Work, work, work...

Last night I worked late. My master was supposed to come and take me home after his work but he had to stay for two extra hours. When he came at last, I wanted to sleep and ran back to my mistress - that didn't help much, he caught me and carried me to the car. Well... I fell asleep again on the way home and refused to leave the cage so he had to carry me one more time.

Today on the other hand he came too early. I didn't want to follow him but my mistress used a lead so I couldn't escape :( You see, my poodle friends were working tonight and I couldn't even meet them because I had to follow my mistress and hand out some stupid medicines. Boring!

My mistress has become boring too. She only sleeps and works. Luckily for me she hears when I need to go out, even when she's sleeping, but she doesn't understand I want to check my territory every time. She calls my name many times and sometimes thinks I'm disobedient, but I don't care - I'm a big girl now and need to mind my own business too. Anyway, when I'm finally ready to go back I don't even need to run - she's so happy I can come strolling :)

I've been working

...so I haven't had time to write my blog. When I'm at home I usually play with my humans, eat and sleep.

I love my job - wherever I go, everybody is happy to see me. The other day I met two poodles who sometimes work with my mistress at night and got to play with them :) I hadn't played with any dogs since I left my mum - Frodo who lives with Rickard is very eager and doesn't understand I'm smaller and only a kid, so Sixten is the only one to play with. Most often he runs away so I can chase him, but sometimes he sounds funny and waves with his paws.

On Friday I had a visitor who came only to see me :) Inger from Frösåker was here and I was sooooo happy to see her. We played and I showed off a bit - I'm good at fetching my toy bone and sometimes I even gave it to humans so they could throw it again and again. She even told me that soon I get to meet my mum again and play with her :)

Wednesday

I just love grapes! We have a grape bush and some grapes hang so low I can reach them :) I have also discovered eating takes less time without chewing the food...

My mistress ordered a dogcage for the car but delivery takes 7-10 days, so I guess I'll have to sit in the catcage until then. I really hope it arrives earlier. Today my mistress had some things to do and I followed her around. Now that I know my own cage is on its way I didn't protest at all in the car.

Tonight I'm going to work with my mistress, for an hour anyway. The thing is my master works late and humans don't want to leave me home alone, so I'll be with the mistress until he comes to pick me up.

Exhausting weekend

This weekend I had my own puppysitter :) My mistress and master both had to work at the same time so I was at Greta's place. She had a make-up-party for Mary Kay products and I was supposed to be there too, but Rickard came and drove me home. He thought it was more quiet there and even gave me food when we arrived. My mistress came home right after that but didn't know I had already eaten so I got an extra portion :)

Today we visited my master's parents and there were many people there because it's the father's day. Everybody came to pet and itch me, they even played with me. And best of all - I found a big hairy toy animal to wrestle with and I won every single time!

I'm beginning to get used to the catcage in the car. It's almost too little for me so soon I'll get away from it anyway. My humans have promised to buy a special (dog!)cage for me when I need to sit in the car.

At home again we took a walk on the street and even Sixten followed us. He wasn't nasty towards me this time - who knows, we might become friends some day.

Wow!

I have become famous over the night! There are soooo many people I don't know who are interested in me and my blog. Really exciting!

Today I drove in a car and had to sit in a catcage because I don't have my own yet. I protested loud for a long time but nobody cared I'd rather sat on somebody's lap. We went to my mistress' workplace and looked around for a minute because she wanted to collect some papers. She thought I was a good girl so on next weekend I might get a chance to go to work myself too :)

Apart from that I haven't done much today, just sleeping and eating. I don't even  have much energy for playing or driving my family crazy, but it's a new day tomorrow!

EDIT 21:30: Not tired anymore and I really don't understand why my mistress doesn't want to play with me. I have tried to run around and even jump but nothing helps... she wants me to lay down and be quiet.

I'm a big girl now

... because I slept the whole night without going out for a walk. And my weight is 6,8 kg.

Actually today I don't want to go out at daytime either because there's something wrong with the world. Everything was just normal yesterday but this morning there was something white and cold everywhere in the garden... And I got all wet when I was outside.

Luckily for me my mistress plays with me anyway. Today we played hide and seek and then I got a chance to use my excellent nose to track down some dogsweets. So now I'm quite tired and need a nap.

EDIT in the evening: world is back to normal again, but now it's raining.

Hello there!

My name is Groovie's I Go Crazy but they just call me Inez. I’m a Labrador retriever who was born on 1/9 2009 at kennel Groovie’s in Frösåker where my mum, grandma and great-grandma live. I have five brothers and one sister.

A few days ago I moved to a big city called Västerås and got a new family which includes a mistress, a master and a cat. The cat is called Sixten and he’s old and boring, never wants to play with me. Anyway, it’s fun to bark at him and chase him until he climbs up a tree :)

I spent my first night with the new family in mistress’ and master’s bed but yesterday I got my own bed which I really like:

I have a big nice ivory couch too, but it's still too high for me and human beings don't want to help me either :( Anyway, I know I'm gonna get up there soon, just have to practice some more...

I like to eat and sleep. In my spare time I try to drive my family crazy and gnaw at everything in my way. Then the mistress comes with a white bone I should munch instead (by the way, this one isn't so bad either).

I like to be outside too. Yesterday I found some funny heaps of leaves in the garden, it sounds amazing when I jump in those. I also found some toys out there and even won my first battle. I’m a sporting dog you know… it’s in my blood to hunt. One thing is sure: this ball never comes back!
