Dog show in Stockholm

As I already mentioned it was the greatest dog show in Sweden and it was international. Me and my granny were there together with Inger and my mistress. My mum followed us to Stockholm too but she never came to the dog show.

I did really well this time too. There were 8 bitches among youngsters and I ended up as number 2 with CC-quality this time :-) I was youngest and it was my first dog show in Youngster class so not bad at all! Anyway, the referee liked yellow dogs much more so I'm really proud :-)

Next dog show will be in Strömsholm near Västerås 23/1.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Some day I will write about the greatest dog show in Sweden that was in Stockholm last week. Just now I'm very tired because I've been working with my mistress again. Nowadays I don´t do it as often as I used to so I get really tired but I still love to work anyway!

So much to do

I have been working a couple of nights again, unfortunately I haven't had a chance to rest either. My friend Hector has visited me many times lately and even slept over. On the other day my mum and Inger came. I have been at my master's sister's place too to trace the hoof in the wood and I found it!

Still alive!

My mistress has got a new job at the hospital and I have had much to do. I'm not allowed to follow her there so I help my master with minimaster. My minimaster is getting older and it's easier to play with him now. He often throws his toys on the floor and I get to pick them up, when I go to my master or mistress with them I get dog treats :) Once I took a toy to play with it myself when my humans didn't see but accidentally I broke it and my mistress got mad. The other toy I borrowed is more durable and I played with it outside to avoid my humans, too bad that Rickard came along and found it so they took it back.

Yesterday I visited my mum and grandmum to play with them. My mum has been a bit bitchy lately but not this time so we had much fun together. We ran around and had tug-of-war, I really liked it! It was fun to meet Inger also, she has been abroad but now she's back and I'm going to meet her soon again because we have to practice for the great dogshow in Stockholm. It will be in December so I should have plenty of time to do that.

Today I'm working again, at the place my mistress hasn't been since march. Everything looks alike but there are so many new smells that I got tired and have slept almost the whole night.

Dog show in Dingtuna

Today I’ve been on a dogshow in Dingtuna. My sister and my dad were also there and daddy become the best male labrador. My other mistress Inger is in India right now so I had to show off a woman called Camilla instead of her. It went well but I’m much happier when Inger is with me. Anyway, I was placed 1st in Junior class with CC-quality!

How do humans think?

Last night after school we went to my mum to borrow her underwear! I have never said I wanted to use her panties... Actually I didn't even know she had anything like that. I've seen on TV that there are dogs who sit in a handbag and always wear clothes but I didn't think my mum was one of them.

My mistress got me dressed just before she went to bed but during the night I managed to get undressed. I should have hided those panties better... my mistress found them and I got dressed again. I really don't like it, it feels kinda strange to wear clothes; I'm a DOG for god's sake!

School has begun!

Today my humans took me to school again. This time my brothers and sister weren't there, only some other dogs. I know my brothers and sister take a course about birds but I got to do something else. We went to a walk in the woods and my mistress showed me a place with blood. It also smelled blood round about and I followed my nose until I found a hoof. My humans were very proud of me and I got to carry the hoof I'd found half-way to the car. On the way home my master called his son Rickard to tell him that I'd been capable and he wants to take me to hunt some time. I hardly can wait but my humans say I need to learn more...

Finally on vacation

Now I've been working much and really earned my holidays. Tomorrow we are going to Estonia and I'm excited.

On the other day I met a nursing dog at work. I know my mistress talked with his mistress and I might be going to this school too. Just now I'm still too young though.

Yesterday my mistress went to work and I got to stay at home. I was really disappointed because I know she wants me to be there and I even heard that the staff had been asking for me. I hope I can work next time she's working.

Well... enough about work, I'm on vacation!

Work

I'm working again! I have been with my mistress at her job in three days again and am really tired now.

Last night we went to a "dog bath" after work. It's a place at the lake where dogs are allowed to take a bath and I swam for the first time! When we got home I went for a swim again, luckily for me the lake is near here. I hope there will be many walks down to the lake... :-p

On Sunday I was at Duffy's place and met Hugo and Ludde and my granny's sister Doris. We played a lot and everybody else went for a swim but I didn't dare... maybe next time.

Private school

The school is over again and now I have summer holidays! The last day at school was really strange because nobody else was there, not even my teacher. My master called her to ask what was going on and she said that everybody had been so capable that the last time wasn't needed (we, who had missed some lesson, would have an extra and I missed one because of a dog show). Anyway, my teacher offered a private lesson if my humans wanted and they did; most because they like my teacher as much as I do.

Some days later she came and I became so happy that I even rolled about when she asked me to. Actually I don't like this exercise and never do it otherwise, I even know that my humans have given up hope that I ever would do it. Then we took a walk down to the lake and I still was so happy that it was really hard for me to focus but I tried. My teacher Kim let me seek some sausage pieces she had hidden on a tree, later she wanted me to jump up on a stone. My mistress is used to do such things with me too and I like it. Finally Kim showed my mistress some exercises I have done with my master at school.

Back at home the humans drack coffee and talked about everything and nothing. They talked about school too, mostly about lessons in hunting but even about a follow-up course in obedience. I hope Kim still wants to be our teacher and I'll meet her again in autumn.

Now I've been in Motala with Inger and slept over in a hotel before the dog show because I had to be there early this morning. We did well:

Things I've done this week

I've been at the veterinary station again. My throat is ok and the ears quite ok. Unfortunately I need to take those eardrops some more days and I really don't like them. I even gave some blood for rabies test and hope I'm allowed to travel outside Sweden soon. The veterinary surgeon Sara is really good - she managed to get the blood she needed without shaving my paw. It wouldn't be good to come to a dogshow without nice coat...

In the evening I took a long walk with my mistress. She had strange boots with wheels and could walk much faster than she's used to. I would have liked to run more but my mistress didn't think it would be good for me since I'm still quite young.

This week I went to school too! This time there was a bucket of water with some tennisballs in it because my teacher wondered if we would have a wet ball in the mouth. I love both water and balls so I did it. To be honest, I discovered the bucket a little too early and took a ball from it before my teacher had explained what to do.

After the school Inger came to take me to the dog show tomorrow. I'm excited...

My minimaster

Bad luck

No school today because of a flat tyre :-( We were on our way to the school when my humans said the car sounds strange and we have to return. Some people we passed on our way looked at the car and we understood something was very wrong. Back at home my humans discovered there was no air in one of the front deck which even had been deformed. Unfortunately we were running late already so humans decided not to take the other car instead. I'll have to wait one more week to see my siblings.

On next Sunday there will be a dog show in Motala and Inger wants to go there with me. Exciting... it will be the first time for me to participate officially. I'm not counted as a puppy anymore because I'm 9 months old!

Sick

Today I've been with my mum and grandmum, we took a walk on the countryside and played. Then I started to cough and Inger decided to take me to the veterinary surgeon. I have sore throat and fungus disease in my ears so I got penicillin and some eardrops. I need to see the veterinary surgeon again after 2 weeks and she'll also take a blood-test then to find out if I've got plenty of antibodies towards rabies so I can travel to Estonia with my humans in summer.

Unfortunately I have to rest 10 days now and won't be allowed to play much with my sister whom I would visit on Sunday. I hope Inger decides that I can go anyway, I don't need to play with Duffy that much...

Not much happening here...

Ellen is gone again and nobody hunts me, now I have time to rest.

On Saturday I went to school with my master again. My mistress and her relatives also followed us there but they didn't even watch. They went to see the animals and then to the playground with Ellen. Only Hugo and Ludde were at school this time, so our teacher Kim had much time for everyone. My master said I was a good girl at school :-)

On Sunday we went to the country at my master's sister's place. She has many cows I don't like, they are too big and sound strange. I barked and tried to scare them but it didn't work, my mistress didn't like me doing it either. I would have loved to hunt all those cats, there are about 30-40 of them... but I know I must not; my mistress is afraid that they'll attack me all together. I also met the old horse, she was friendly and we smelled each other. I would like to play with her some time.

Visitors

There are so many people in our house right now - my mistress' parents, her sister and the human puppy Ellen whom I met at Christmas. Ellen knows how to walk now and it's much funnier to be with her! She springs after me and pats me and hunts my tail. She likes to give me treats too. Moreover, I often get leftovers from her :-)

At home again

I've been at Inger's place this weekend because my humans haven't had much time over now that they have minimaster. My brother Jazz was there too and we have played, and my mum of course... I even met my sister! I had a really good time but it was quite exhausting so I've been sleeping most of the day today.

On Saturday I was at school also, this time only Ludde and Hugo were there. My mistress is still very tired and in pain so I train with my master this time which I like. He's much better in helping me with homework than my mistress is.

Homework

Today I trained with my master for several times. I showed my mistress what I can do and she was really impressed.

I overheard my mistress talking with Inger on the phone and I'll go visit her on Saturday after the school. My brother Jazz will be there too so I can play with him and my mum. Can't wait... My humans don't have much time for me now when they have this minimaster who cries quite often.

Changes

So much has happened since the last time I blogged. My humans have become quite strange, they don't sleep at nights and a week ago they took me to Greta's place... in the middle of the night! I stayed with her for couple of days and have been working with her so I don't complain actually. When I came back home my humans had something that smells like a human but is tiny and sounds strange. They say it's my minimaster but I don't get it - he sleeps all the time and I can't play with him at all :-(

The school has begun again and I met my brothers and sister on Saturday. This time I trained with my master and my mistress was watching with this minimaster. My aunt Ebba was there and watched too.

Today Hector came to visit me and we played in the yard for a long time, so now I'm tired. I really like that somebody wants to play with me, my humans don't do it often anymore :-(

Strange

My mistress has trouble sleeping nowadays and asked me if I wanted to go for a walk... in the middle of a night! I couldn't sleep much either because she goes up many times every night so I followed her.

When she opended the door I saw that something was wrong - it was white everywhere. It seems that it has been winter again and it has been snowing for hours. Actually I don't care much, I like snow and ran around for a while at first. My mistress likes sunshine more than snow, I like both. And I like to be outside, no matter how the weather is.

I've been working again!

Actually I only would hand over a car to Greta who was working and follow my humans to the supermarket but Greta asked me if I wanted to work with her. Of course i did! It was a while ago I had an opportunity like that because my mistress doesn't work much nowerdays. I really like to go around and see all those happy elderly people when I come near them and they are so nice to me :-)

At home I took a walk to the sea with my mistress and checked if the water was warm yet (my humans say that it will be so warm that even humans want to swim in the sea). It wasn't so warm and I only walked a bit to fetch a stick that was in water. After that I played with my mistress who had taken my favourite toy with her. She hided it and throwed it and we had a tug-of-war... What a wonderful day!

New impressions

On Tuesday I took a course to learn how to show off Inger better. I honestly don't understand why they call it a dog show... maybe because it's always the dog who has to show how fine one's human can run in a circle together with other humans. Anyway... Inger didn't want to run as fast as I wanted so I need to take her to the course one more time, I hope it goes better then. My brother Ludde was there too with his humans to teach his mistress, and next week my sister will be there!

I didn't have a chance to play with Ludde this time because I have been limping and my humans don't think I should run much and fast. Luckily for me I visited my mum and grate-grandmum after the course and could play with them instead.

Yesterday I visited my mistress' friend Annika and we took a walk in the woods. It was a long time ago I saw so many trees and everything that smelled... I had so much to discover there and become really tired so I fell asleep on Annika's balcony. It was warm and nice there.

Today both my humans have been working and I visited Greta. We took a walk and I had much to discover around her place too. My mistress was tired when she came home and we rested together. In the evening we took a long walk together when my master came home. So now I'm tired again. Sometimes there's so much to do...

Spring

It's so warm today, the sun is shining and birds are singing everywhere. My humans say it's spring.

My mistress has become really fat and is sleeping most of the time, she doesn't play much with me anymore. Luckily for me Rickard and Amanda came to visit us with Frodo, Tindra and Hector so I have played with Hector. Rickard and my master cut the apple trees and there are branches everywhere. I can play with them and chew them and it's fun to just run around with them. Sometimes I even get my mistress to throw a branch so I can fetch it or have a tug-of-war with her.

I've been outside for a couple of hours now and I'm very tired. Time for a nap...

Learning

Inger was here today and we took a walk to the sea. My mistress wanted to train my hunting skills and Inger came to show her how to use a bird. In the beginning I had to use a lead and was only allowed to carry the bird in my mouth. Later my mistress wanted to test if I would fetch it without using a lead and I did. They throw the bird for several times and I ran after it. I showed Inger how good I'm at seeking too, at first with my favourite toy and then they hided the bird! I just loved it... I found it quickly and brought the bird back to them of course. Inger said I was so good at "bird-training" that I should take a course with my people.

I also heard that my teacher Kim had mailed my mistress. There will be school in may again! I hope all my brothers and my sister are coming, I miss them.

My other family

I visited my mum and great-grandmum, Inger and the other humans who live with them were at home too. Inger said my leg is better now and I'm allowed to run again! Bye-bye lead... :-D

My mistress and Inger discussed a huntingtraining with some bird, I can hardly wait. I just love to carry things and Inger says I'm good at it. Well... this much I already knew - I always get dogtreats from my master when I bring him the morning paper. I also will begin on a showcourse soon to learn how to show off Inger better on the next dogshow we are going to.

I've been busy

I have been at my master's parents' house when my humans took a trip and I also was with Inger over the weekend. It was fun to see my mum, grandma and grate-grandma again and play with them. Inger took me to a dogshow too and it went really well, they said I was the very best puppy!

My life is pretty boring at the moment because I'm still limping and my humans use a lead all the time. I have a muscle that hurts and my people try to massage it to get it better.

I have followed my mistress to her volleyball training a couple of times and that's fun. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to use those balls but it's quite interesting to watch anyway. And there are so many little girls who like to be with me! I love children...

Today is my last night at work because my mistress needs to rest. I have heard something about a human puppy they want to buy for me.

Still winter

It has been snowing a lot recently and there is snow EVERYWHERE:

Winter

No school today either because it's too cold, it's snowing and it's really windy. To be honest, I don't care - I like to be outside anyway. It's fun to run and jump in the snow and I often help my people to shovel. Sixten, on the other hand, only wants to lay on a chair in the kitchen, he's so boring...

On Wednesday I visited my friends poodles. An English mastiff who is younger than me but bigger (how can it be like that?) visited them also, we played all together a long time.

On Thursday both my people were working and I got to follow Greta to work with her! She also works in a house where many old people live. After work we took a bus to my master's job and drove a car home together with him. Actually I don't like buses much but I got many sweets from Greta on the way :-)

Believe it or not but I'm still alive!

It was a while ago I blogged but everything is fine with me. I have been working with my mistress and today I went to school with my master. Last week I was there with my mistress and all the other times both my people have followed me. Next week it will be the last schoolday but I've discussed it with my siblings and they also want to keep in touch so I hope we are going to meet one another every now and then.

On the other day I lost my last milk tooth as my mistress says. Now she looks in my mouth all the time for some reason, I guess she's as afraid as I am. I have more teeth than I ever had and they just keep coming! What if there will be so many of those that they won't fit in my mouth?

School at first and then work

I'm well again and have been at school... finally. We have had a loooooong Christmas holiday. Today I met both of my parents, and my siblings of course :) My dad's mistress had some dead birds with her and we learned how to carry them in the mouth. When we get older we are going to help some hunter to collect real birds, I hope my master's son Rickard wants to take me with him one day.

Now I'm at work again with my mistress and there aren't many changes. The same old people live in the house and the same people work... I have to admit that I like my mistress' collegues, they play with me and always give me something good when they eat themselves.

I'm sick

I've got diarrhoea and need to go out often at night :( Luckily for me my people have understood that they need to hurry when I tell them it's time to go out. My mistress cooked rice for me and mixes it with my usual food, it's much tastier this way (but still not as tasty as Sixtens food)!

I just hope I get better soon so I can work again. On Saturday it's school again and my mistress said my dad would be there.

Dog show

Now I've been on my first dog show and it was fun. Even my sister and my brother Ludde were there. I drove in Ludde's car and we played and wrestled all the way to Katrineholm and all the way back home.

I showed Inger to all those people and dogs who had come to the show and did it well, I am the best labrador bitch. My brother Ludde won over me and he is the very best labrador.

Comfort

I have my own dog cage in the bedroom to sleep in but it's not as big as I would like. I usually take some steps and stretch my body when I wake up and then lay down again, but I have grown a lot and can't do it in the cage anymore. Instead I have to tell my people I need to go out in the middle of the night and stretch myself then.

My mistress thought it was better for me to sleep in my own dog bed and go around as I want in the bedroom. She knows I don't need to go out in the middle of the night anymore because I'm a big girl now... She just forgot I had realized that almost every morning after we had been outside and collected the newspaper I was allowed to sleep in my humans bed for a while.

I like their bed, it's so big and soft, and I hoped they didn't realize it was only in the middle of the night but they did :( I had to sleep in my own bed until the morning anyway... until last night, now I can jump up on their bed, you see! I did it several times this night but my mistress put me back on the floor. At last I waited until she fell asleep and could sleep in the bed until the morning :)

At the pet clinic

My weight is 18,5 kg now and I've got neck massage and dog sweets from a nice veterinary surgeon again. My people say I've got two rabies vaccinations now but what do they know? They also say I need to give some blood for a test after 120 days before they allow me to travel abroad.

Sleeping beauty

Now I've been working for 3 nights in a row and I'm quite tired. My mistress says I only sleep - at home and at work - but it's not true. I have played tug-of-war and catching a ball with her colleagues. I have also been teasing two old ladies who like me. However, my mistress won't work in 9 days (actually nights) so I have plenty of time to have a good rest :)

At work

Now I'm working again! Have been at home doing nothing for too long. Everything is as it used to be at work and I ran around as much as I could to be really sure. Then I got tired and took a nap. My mistress had to drive away for some time and collect a paper which had ended up somewhere else but I was so tired that I stayed at work and slept until she got back.

Now it's 2010, whatever it means.

I was at New Year Eve dinner at my neighbors with my people. My mistress got tired and needed a nap so I got to follow her home and sleep in her bed too. There were many young people outside with things that sounded very loud. Later I learned from my people these things are called fireworks and many animals are afraid of them. Why?
